ABOUT THE ERIE COMMUNITY GARDEN COALITION

     The Erie Community Garden Coalition (ECGC) is a collaboration between residents, schools, community garden leaders, businesses, Penn State Extension Master Gardeners and nonprofit organizations to strengthen community gardens, provide education related to healthy eating, promote environmental sustainability, and increase accessibility to fresh, local produce in the Erie community.

     The ECGC serves as a guide for gardens and related programs in the Erie community. Not only is our goal to emphasize existing gardens in the the community, but also to offer resources for individuals, organizations and businesses who would like to develop their own gardens. To foster our mission, we offer free consulting services for garden planning, planting and maintenance.
